Apex Scientific proudly supplies high-performance Plant Growth Chambers from Jeiotech to laboratories across South Africa. These chambers are built for precise environmental control. With temperature ranges of 5 ℃ to 50 ℃ (lamp off) and 10 ℃ to 50 ℃ (lamp on), they support a variety of testing needs. The GC-1000 model offers up to 35,000 Lux, while the GC-300 provides 20,000 Lux—ideal for accurate and consistent plant growth research.
General Control System
Each chamber uses a microprocessor PID control system to maintain stable conditions. You can program up to 10 steps across temperature, humidity, and illumination profiles. Additionally, these steps can cycle up to 999 times, supporting long-term testing. The GC-300TLH offers a humidity range of 40% to 80% RH, while the GC-1000TLH covers 50% to 90% RH. This flexibility makes the system suitable for various plant types.
Illuminance Control System
These chambers ensure uniform light distribution through side and upper lamps. The high-intensity top lamp provides strong illumination without generating excess heat. Meanwhile, tempered glass doors block warm air, helping maintain internal stability. In addition, the high-frequency electronic ballast lamps ensure efficiency and long lifespan, making the lighting system reliable and cost-effective.
Convenience and Maintenance
The ergonomic design includes a dual-door system. A silicone inner glass door and a magnetic-seal outer door help reduce environmental disturbance. The wide viewing panel allows easy observation of plant growth without opening the chamber. Furthermore, the front water tank has a clear water level bar for simple monitoring. A detachable condenser air filter also makes refrigerating system maintenance quick and efficient. For mobility, casters are included to assist with installation and relocation.
Safety Features
Safety is built into every chamber. Automatic shut-off activates in the event of overheating. Alerts notify users of low or empty water levels. In addition, the unit protects against power leakage, overcurrent, and door opening during operation. These features ensure a stable environment and protect your samples at all times.
