PCR Workstation Air Flow Pattern
IThe PCR workstation uses a controlled vertical laminar airflow pattern to maintain a clean and sterile environment for sensitive applications. Ambient air enters through the top and passes through a pre-filter followed by a HEPA filter, removing airborne particles and contaminants. A built-in fan then directs clean, filtered air vertically downward across the work surface in a uniform stream. Contaminated air is continuously drawn from the front opening, filtered again, and recirculated back into the workspace. This closed-loop airflow system minimizes cross-contamination and maintains consistent air quality, making it ideal for procedures such as DNA amplification, RNA handling, and sample preparation.
