Forced Convection vs Natural Convection

Forced convection ovens or incubators use a fan to actively circulate hot air, ensuring uniform temperature distribution and faster heating. In contrast, natural convection rely on gravity-driven airflow, where hot air rises and cooler air sinks. This results in slower, less uniform heating but gentler airflow, ideal for sensitive samples.

Intuitive Touchscreen Control for Efficient Operation

Each Natural Convection Oven features an intuitive 5-inch touchscreen display for easy parameter setup and monitoring. Users benefit from real-time graphing, wait-on/wait-off timers, and automatic suggestions for frequently used temperatures. The interface simplifies experiment scheduling and enhances operational efficiency, especially during repetitive testing.

 

Reliable Temperature Control and Accuracy

With a wide temperature range of up to 250 °C, these ovens ensure exceptional temperature uniformity—within ±3.6 °C at 100 °C. A built-in three-point calibration system guarantees consistent accuracy. The Ramp Control™ function enables users to program custom temperature ramping rates (°C/min), adapting to each experimental condition with precision.

Smart Monitoring and Remote Access

To streamline lab oversight, optional connectivity with LC GreenBox enables remote monitoring and control via mobile devices. Additionally, the BMS (Building Management System) interface allows for real-time temperature supervision, offering quick responses to deviations. These features help ensure uninterrupted workflows, even when operators are off-site.

 

Convenient Data Management

Data handling is simple and secure. The ovens support USB and RS-232 ports for external control and data collection. Test data is automatically logged and can be exported in editable CSV format. The system can record up to 36 recent events, including errors and door activity. Optional integration with 21 CFR Part 11–compliant LC DataKeeper makes these ovens suitable for GMP-compliant environments.

 

Enhanced User Safety

User safety is a key design priority. Over-temperature protection, IEC Class II compliance, and DIN 12880 Class 3.1 standards ensure safe operation. Surfaces remain below 70 °C even during high-heat runs. For added protection, the patented overheating prevention system (Patent 10-0397583) and top vent hole allow safe release of internal fumes.

 

Space-Saving and Stackable Design

With a compact depth under 750 mm, these ovens fit securely on standard lab tables. Optional double-stacking kits allow two units to be stacked, maximizing space without compromising safety or performance. A Hands-free™ door enables users to access the chamber while handling samples, improving workflow efficiency.
