Vertical Laminar Air Flow Pattern

A vertical laminar flow clean bench creates a sterile workspace by directing HEPA-filtered air in a downward, unidirectional stream over the work surface. This consistent vertical airflow effectively sweeps away airborne contaminants, ensuring a particle-free environment for sensitive samples and procedures. Air exits through the front opening, maintaining positive pressure within the chamber and preventing contamination from entering. While this design offers excellent product protection, it is important to note that it does not provide personal protection for the user. Therefore, it is ideal for applications requiring a clean environment without handling hazardous materials, such as media preparation or electronic assembly.

Performance

This unit uses an ISO Class 4 (US Class 10) HEPA filter with 99.99% efficiency at 0.3 μm. Designed to minimize contamination, the leak-tight filter meets strict Class 10 standards from US Federal Standard 209E. Under normal testing room conditions, it typically lasts around three years.

To extend filter life, the cabinet includes a pre-filter made of polyester fiber. It maintains low pressure loss while achieving an 85% arrestant rate, as verified by A.F.I. testing. In addition, the exclusive diffusing muffler structure promotes consistent laminar flow. This helps maintain a quiet, clean workspace, with noise levels below 65 dB.

 

Safety

The UV-blocking, impact-resistant tempered glass door adds protection during operation. If the sash is opened while the UV lamp is on, the lamp shuts off automatically. A three-position toggle switch (UV / Off / Fluorescent) lets users easily control lighting, reducing the risk of UV exposure.

For ease of access, the sliding front sash stops at any height. This makes it easier to transport samples and tools without compromising the sterile environment. The built-in overcurrent protection adds another layer of safety during operation.
