Vertical Laminar Air Flow Pattern

A vertical laminar flow clean bench creates a sterile workspace by directing HEPA-filtered air in a downward, unidirectional stream over the work surface. This consistent vertical airflow effectively sweeps away airborne contaminants, ensuring a particle-free environment for sensitive samples and procedures. Air exits through the front opening, maintaining positive pressure within the chamber and preventing contamination from entering. While this design offers excellent product protection, it is important to note that it does not provide personal protection for the user. Therefore, it is ideal for applications requiring a clean environment without handling hazardous materials, such as media preparation or electronic assembly.

High-Efficiency Filtration and Performance

This cabinet includes an ISO Class 4 (US Class 10) HEPA filter. It removes 99.99% of particles measuring 0.3 μm or larger. Compliant with US Federal Standard 209E, the filter provides effective cross-contamination control. Under standard lab conditions, the HEPA filter lasts around three years.


To support a longer filter life, the system includes a high-efficiency polyester fiber pre-filter. This pre-filter keeps pressure loss low and achieves an 85% arrestant rate in A.F.I. testing. A digital airflow rate sensor with microprocessor control maintains steady airflow. This helps preserve the HEPA filter’s efficiency over time. The integrated diffusing muffler system creates uniform airflow while keeping noise levels under 65 dB, promoting a quiet and comfortable workspace.

 

Built-In Safety Features

The cabinet uses UV-blocking, impact-resistant tempered glass to shield both the user and the samples. If the sash opens above its safe height, an alarm immediately alerts the user. This feature reduces the risk of contamination. The system also shuts off the UV lamp automatically if the sash opens during operation. A smooth-sliding front sash allows precise positioning and easy access to the workspace. Additional over-current protection enhances user safety during routine operation.
